These are my grandpuppies. Grand-puppies? you ask? Yes! Grandpuppies! I'm in no big hurry for my own kids to reproduce yet, so in the mean time, I get to be Grandpa to two adorable little pups: Bambi and Zim! These two unbelievably cute puppies are my daughter Lindsay's kids.
Bambie (left) is a purebred Rat Terrier. She was the runt of her litter and is the most adorable Rat Terrier you'll ever meet. She is incredibly soft coated, and has an amazing amount of energy! She is a super-kisser! The only drawback is that her little tongue is long enough to reach the frontal lobes of your brain if you let her, and she absolutely LOVES to clean out the inside of your nose if she gets the chance. One of the cutest things about her is that she makes these long drawn out grunts when she's tired. She loves to chase birds, and sit at our front windows and "talk" to everyone and everything in the neighborhood.
Zim (right) is named after Invader Zim of cartoon fame. He is a purebred Toy Fox Terrier. He has been a medical challenge! When Linz got him from the pet store, the store owners told her he was getting over a slight case of kennel cough. A few weeks and several hundred dollars later we find out he has pneumonia in both lungs! I can't even remember all of the things this poor little dog has gone through, but he's tried to check out on us several times. We think he might have really poor eyesight or is going blind. If you're more than ten feet away from him, he'll bark like crazy at you until he figures out who you are. He is, by far, the cutest little dog in the whole wide world. We jokingly call him "Crash" because of the way he launches himself off couches, beds, chairs etc. with such reckless abandon! His front legs are slightly deformed, so when he jumps, he splays out like Wonder Dog as he flies through the air! He doesn't land on his feet - they won't hold him up - instead, they only break his fall before he lands full force on his tummy. Hence, "Crash!"
Linz is living at home right now with us, so that means our grandpuppies are too! So, with our dogs included, we're harboring SIX dogs right now. There is NEVER a lack for a warm, cuddly body at night to snuggle up with. Chris and I are trying to figure out how to hide Zim when Linz finds her own place. We want to keep that little critter! Geez, we'll keep 'em both!
According to Charles Shultz, "happiness is a warm puppy." And as you can see, we have a whole lot of happiness goin' on!
This is me... take it or leave it.
